Elijah Phillip Stake: Our new arrival!

On October 7th, 2011, we welcomed our beautiful son into the world~~Elijah Phillip Stake. He was born at 11:13pm, weighed 8lb 4oz, and was 20.5 inches long.

After two nights at the hospital, we got to go home. It really was a good experience at the hospital. The staff was awesome! But we were ready to go home :)

Those first nights in the hospital, Elijah slept through the entire night! Mommy and daddy were very thankful for this. But, once home, he did not sleep through the night. Which is what we expected! He has been up about every 2 hours at night. Definitely keeping mommy and daddy busy and tired.

It has been super fun getting to know our son. He is so fun to have around. It's crazy to think that I can't imagine life without him--and it's only been a few days!! We are constantly learning new things. Such as a new schedule, what to do to calm him down, learning that he does NOT like his diaper changed, and much more.

Now for some pics :) So far I am keeping my challenge of taking a pic a day. But that's not too hard right now as everything is new and we want to capture every moment! (P.S. the pics aren't in order)

I went to Zech's office to get a massage. His coworkers watched him for a bit, but then he started fussing. Zech brought him in the room with us and just layed him between my legs. He fell right to sleep and Zech finished the massage :)
